Alongside this addition, we're also expanding our Halloween Gravefall event from two daily sessions to three, with updated timings designed to give players across different time zones more opportunities to participate.

Update Release: Today at Approximately 2 PM BST

The Survival update is scheduled to go live today, 19 October 2026, at approximately 2:00 PM BST (1:00 PM UTC).

To deploy the new voice chat features and updated Gravefall schedule, Survival may experience a brief period of downtime.

  • Expected downtime: Approximately 5–10 minutes.

  • Affected server: Survival.

  • What's changing: Proximity voice chat and three daily Gravefall sessions.

We'll aim to keep any disruption to a minimum. Thank you for your patience while we roll out the update!

Talk to Players Around You

Voice chat has been one of our most frequently requested community features, and we're excited to finally bring it to MenaceMC Survival.

Using proximity voice chat, you'll be able to hear and speak with other players as you approach them in-game.

Whether you're building with friends, trading with other players, exploring the world or getting into a heated PvP encounter, conversations can now happen naturally without constantly typing in chat.

The further away someone gets, the quieter they'll become, until they're eventually out of hearing range.

Voice chat is completely optional, so players who prefer the traditional Minecraft experience can continue playing exactly as before.

Getting Started with Voice Chat

To use voice chat, you'll need to install the free Simple Voice Chat mod on your Minecraft client.

Download Simple Voice Chat: https://modrinth.com/plugin/simple-voice-chat

Make sure you select the version compatible with your Minecraft version and mod loader.

Once installed:

  1. Join MenaceMC Survival at play.menacemc.com.

  2. Type /voice to enable voice chat.

  3. Press V to open the Simple Voice Chat menu.

  4. Configure your microphone, speakers and preferred talking mode.

  5. Get talking!

You can use /voice again at any time to disable voice chat. Your preference will be remembered when you reconnect.

You can also adjust your microphone settings, mute individual players and control your voice chat experience through the mod's built-in interface.

Please remember: All existing MenaceMC rules apply to voice chat. Abuse, harassment, discrimination and inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Our moderation team has additional tools to address rule-breaking.

Gravefall Is Expanding: Three Sessions Every Day!

Our Halloween event, Gravefall, has already brought a darker atmosphere to Survival, with players battling hostile creatures, collecting Candy and working towards shared community goals.

We're now making the event more accessible by increasing the number of daily sessions from two to three!

This means more opportunities to participate, earn Candy and work towards the exclusive rewards available in the Haunted Rewards shop.

New Daily Gravefall Schedule

Gravefall will now take place at the following times every day:

  • 11:00 UTC

  • 17:00 UTC

  • 23:00 UTC

Built Around Your Feedback

Both of these changes reflect feedback we've received from the MenaceMC community.

Voice chat has been requested repeatedly over recent months, while expanding Gravefall to three daily sessions should make the event more accessible to players in different regions.

We're continuing to work on improvements to Survival, including quality-of-life changes, performance optimisations and additional activities.
